If you are eligible for state-funded home care services, you must notify your local Council, either directly or through family, friends, or a healthcare expert, such as your GP, that you require assistance. Your Council will then conduct a Needs Assessment to determine your eligibility for care as well as the type and amount of assistance you require.
These findings, along with a financial assessment, will determine whether you are eligible for fully or partially supported home care.
